The law firm’s main office is in Mount Prospect, Illinois, and appointments are also available in Chicago, Vernon Hills, and by video conference. In 1958, Robert F. Meersman founded the Law Office of Robert F. Meersman in Mount Prospect, Illinois. In 1980, Kathleen Meersman Murphy, a lifelong resident of Mount Prospect, joined the Law Office of Robert F. Meersman and practiced with her father until his retirement. In 1988, Ms. Meersman Murphy formed the Law Office of Kathleen Meersman Murphy LLC and managed the firm at its Mount Prospect office. Ms. Meersman Murphy has provided probate, guardianship, and real estate legal services to individuals, families, and businesses in the Chicago area for more than 45 years. In 2017, Lara A. Duda founded Duda Law Group LLC with offices in Chicago and Vernon Hills. For nearly 20 years, Ms. Duda has been representing individuals, families, financial and healthcare institutions, and professional fiduciaries throughout the Chicagoland area. Prior to opening her own firm, Ms. Duda was a partner at a probate and estate planning law firm in Cook County and an associate attorney at both an elder law firm in Chicago and in the healthcare group of an international law firm with offices in Chicago. Ms. Duda was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, raised in Chicago’s northern suburbs, and earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law. Duda Meersman Murphy combines two exceptional law firms with complementary strengths that together offer expanded, high-quality legal services to accommodate our clients’ needs. The firm’s key practice areas include elder abuse and exploitation, estate and trust administration, guardianships involving disabled adults or minor children, mental health law, real estate transactions for commercial or residential properties, and special needs and estate planning.
